Sinclair Inlet Book Co. is an independent bookstore nestled on the Port Orchard waterfront, surrounded by the natural beauty of Puget Sound and the Olympic foothills.
We offer a curated mix of new and gently used books in a cozy, welcoming space—and we’re proud to serve as a platform for diverse voices and a hub for community connection.
We first opened our doors on Independent Bookstore Day 2022, bringing new books back to Port Orchard and South Kitsap for the first time in years. In July 2024, we moved to our new home at 821 Bay Street, right in the heart of the city.
Now, we’re writing the next chapter:
We’re becoming Kitsap County’s first nonprofit, member-run bookstore—a cooperative built by readers, for readers.
This new structure will help us expand our mission to promote literacy, support literary arts, and make books more accessible to all through community events, educational programs, and grassroots involvement.
